GENERAL INFORMATION
GUARANTEE

We will refund your full course fee if you fail the State Exam after following these steps:

  1. Complete all classes and homework.
  2. Take all practice examinations until you obtain a score of 80% or higher on each. Allow one week between re-examinations.
  3. Take the license exam within your six-month enrollment or approved extension.

ATTENDANCE AND GRADING

Your tuition includes unlimited class attendance and practice testing for up to six months. If you need more time, three-month extensions currently cost $125. The California Department of Real Estate has approved this course as "Real Estate Principles" (912-87). To receive credit for the course, students must attend all classes and score at least 60% on the open-book 100-multiple-choice-question final exam. We issue transcripts within ten days of course completion.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

The usual continuing education requirement is 45 clock hours every four years. New licensees, however, are generally required to take real estate practice and one other three-semester-unit course within 18 months and 12 clock hours within four years of obtaining their license. Beginning July 1, 2007, new sales licensees must take 15 clock hours of continuing education to renew their licenses.

Since October 1, 2007, applicants for real estate sales licenses are required to take real estate principles, practice, and one other three-semester-unit real estate course before taking the real estate sales exam (AB 2429).   The California Office of Real Estate Appraisers (OREA Provider No. CP596103) has approved portions of this course for both basic (pre-license) and continuing education (ask registrar for details).

REFUNDS

If you cancel within a week of attending your first class, you are entitled to a full refund. We prorate all other refunds by charging $47 for each class you have attended and adding a $20 registration fee. No refunds after 60 days. We will mail your refund within 14 days of receiving your written request.
